01 ARCHITECTURE COMPETITION AUGUST-NOVEMBER 2018
The right to housing implies the right to live in a safe and inhabitable home. According to this principle, DNADD and Techo Perù share the aim of developing a new type of house that can be easily reproduced and satisfy the basic needs of Lima’s population while offering them a place worthy of being called “home”. Our common mission is:
1. to improve the living conditions of many people living in informal spaces;
2. educating and sensitizing young voluntaries and the entire community about life in such conditions.

Lima is undergoing a continuous change even though its biggest contradiction remains unchanged: a three meters wall that runs over ten kilometers separates people of different social states.Participants should develop a housing unit that is obtained from the combination of four different modules: family module, kitchen, bathroom, garden. After having evaluated the conditions of the houses owned by each family, it will be decided whether to build the entire house “ex novo” or just add the missing modules.
The house should be developed so that it can be self-constructed in a few days by volunteers.
