DNADD is a nonprofit Association of Social Promotion. The association intends to transform architecture into a Community Right, able to respond to specific human needs, as a tool of education and a space of social gathering.
The Association starts from the analysis of social and housing emergency situations, it studies the context and discusses all the possible methods of intervention. The modality of intervention for each project begin with a research on a specific territory and community (D – Discover) and aims at the identification of specific needs (N – Needs), responding to them through architecture (A – Architecture). The final purpose of the Association is to found new “dna” (DD – Add) as a response to the needs of the community. Besides, not only does the association aim to create new shelters, but also to develop original solutions based on the communities’ social and cultural identities and needs.
